Artist Statement

Jurica Galić Juka (Split, 1976) is a Croatian travel writer, reportage photographer and world traveler from Split. He is a permanent contributor to the national magazine “Meridijani”, and his works have been published by other numerous magazines and newspapers such as: “National Geographic”, “Place2Go”, “Adriatic Travel” and “Travel Magazin”. In photography, he won almost a hundred world and national awards, and he exhibited independently 12 times at exhibitions (of which 5 were selected by art councils). He exhibited twice outside of Croatia (Germany and Turkey). He says that his travels are a mission and not just covering kilometers. His specialty is travel and documentary photography, and his favorite subjects are portraits, street, landscapes and journalism. He is a member of the international association of journalists in tourism “FIJET”, as well as the Split Photo Club.
