Artist Bio
In addition to college level coursework in fine arts, I’ve spent 10 years studying extensively with established artists at the Torpedo Factory, Lorton Workhouse Arts Center, Glen Echo, and internationally known art instructors virtually. I am a juried member of the Torpedo Factory Artists Association, Gallery 75, Van Landingham Gallery (committee member), and the National Association of Women Artists. I’ve curated an exhibit for Del Ray Artisans, “Visions of Resilience: Art for Climate Justice,” as well as serving as a juror for monthly challenges at the Capitol Hill Arts League. I routinely participate in juried exhibitions in the DC-area, and I’ve had the opportunity for solo exhibits at Green Spring Gardens, 868 Estate Vineyards, Glen Echo Stone Tower Gallery, the Bodzin Gallery, and Hunters Woods Gallery. I am an artist in Residence at Palette22 DC. Community engagement is a key component of my artistic process; I enjoy the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other artists, as well as environmentalists. I partner with the Changing Planet Justice Foundation to reach youth around the world and encourage them to share stories and artwork about how climate change affects their communities.
