With a degree in fine art and a lifelong passion for photography, Matt has dedicated himself to capturing the essence of life’s most awe-inspiring moments. From the tender grace of horses to the vast expanses of landscapes, and the dynamic energy of cityscapes, his lens transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary works of art.
Armed with a diverse range of equipment, including Canon cameras, DJI drones, and film cameras, Matt harnesses the power of technology to create captivating visual narratives. His mastery of different tools enables him to adapt to various environments, capturing the unique spirit and beauty of each subject.
Through his extensive travels, he embraces the world as his canvas, immersing himself in new cultures, landscapes, and experiences. His keen eye and adventurous spirit allow him to present viewers with a fresh perspective, revealing the hidden nuances and stories that lie within his photographs.
Matt has recently exhibited at the London Art Biennale, Powderham Castle in Devon and the Paris Carrousel du Louvre Art Fair. His cityscape image of Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles entitled “Starry Street” recently won the Re/Focus People’s Vote Award. He recently received Honorable Mention across over a dozen images in the 2023 Pollux Awards.

I don’t have any formal training. To be quite honest, I usually just shoot things that are meaningful to me; as cliché as that sounds. I think capturing a photo is the closest I can get to reliving the emotions felt in the moment that I took the shot. Something I’m lookin at that I want to remember forever.

The turning point in my journey arrived when I stumbled upon the Tao Te Ching, a profound text that shifted my perspective and ignited my passion for Tai-Chi. This martial art and its principles fascinated me for many years, and the discipline it instilled in me became the foundation for my artistic pursuit. With unwavering intensity, I dedicated ten years to honing my craft, resulting in works of notable quality. My journey through art has been an enduring testament to unwavering determination and dedication. In my lifetime, I’ve faced both early independence and considerable challenges, which served as the backdrop for my relentless pursuit of artistic mastery.
Today, I wholeheartedly embrace a minimalist ethos and advocate for conservation, all while capturing the transient beauty of urban landscapes in my art. It’s my way of leaving a lasting mark on the world, just as it has left an indelible mark on me.
